Charles Clendinen
Headmaster
Charles Clendinen is the Headmaster of Geneva Classical Academy. A native Floridian (and avid Seminole fan – after all, he is a graduate!), he has earned degrees from Eustis High School , Florida State University, and Reformed Theological Seminary-Charlotte.
He has been married to Karen for more than fifteen years, and they have three children: Will, Rachel, and Nathan. A native of Tallahassee , he grew up the second of three brothers in a sports and education family. His father coached basketball at the college, junior college, and high school levels, and his mother taught high school literature and grammar.
Charles was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1998 and has served as a church planter and an Associate Minister. He also works with his denomination as the Chairman of the Inter-Church Relations Committee and with his Presbytery as a member of the Committee on Stewardship.
His volunteer experience includes Campus Crusade for Christ, foreign and domestic mission service, church-based youth work, the Board of Directors of Geneva Classical Academy, Hospice, police chaplaincy, and a State Constable commission with the State of South Carolina Governor’s Office.
He is an active Rotarian who also enjoys listening to classical music, reading good books, discussing current events and theology, viewing vintage films, traveling, and playing with his children.
The most important and gratifying aspect of his work at Geneva deals working with men and women and boys and girls as they try to understand who God is and who we are in relation to Him.
