Welcome to the Apostolic Church of God 7th Day where "we are committed to developing and strengthening believers in the Word of God, Encouraging Worship and Praise, Faith in Action and Growth through Evangelism.
It is my goal that, through the Word of God, you will gain knowledge of who Jesus Christ is, and the wisdom that will transform your life. By following the ABC's of Salvation you will find that making God the head of your life is simply as easy as ABC.
THE PLAN OF SALVATION WAS PROVIDED BY GOD AS THE MEANS TO ESCAPE THE PENALTY OF ETERNAL DEATH PRONOUNCED UPON US.
God’s son Jesus was sent to earth to redeem man from the curse of sin. This was accomplished after Jesus lived sinless, gave his life a s a perfect sacrifice, by his shed blood on the cross, and resurrected triumphant over death. Jesus took on himself our punishment which was death, and gave his own life that we might have eternal life.
The Apostolic church of God believes that we are saved from our sins totally by the grace of God. We can in no way earn our salvation.
Titus 3:5, “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds we have done in righteousness, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.”
Eph. 2:8 “ For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Salvation was provided to us, in the form of Jesus Christ as a gift from God. His shed blood, his death and his resurrection guaranteed us this gift of salvation. But like any other gift, while it was not earned it must be received. It is up to you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
· A - Accept the fact that you're a sinner (one who's broken God's laws), that you deserve to be punished, and that you can't save yourself.” For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23)
· B - Believe that God sent His son, Jesus, to save you. That Jesus took the punishment you deserved by dying on a cross, that God raised Him from the dead, and that Jesus now lives with God in Heaven and is preparing a place for you.“ for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.(Jn. 3:16)
· C- Confess and leave your sins. “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John. 1:9)
Understanding these three basic steps is the key to experiencing a fulfilled and prosperous Christian life. Through proper understanding of the word of God we learn to respond to Christ’s work by serving him in love.
He is truly worthy of our praise and worship !
